Hi Ben,
We have just come back from our summer holiday in France. During the first week the weather was great. Everyone
warned that summer in the south of France would be hot, but it wasn’t. Some days were cloudy and one day we had a
thunderstorm. It was very exciting, but the dog didn’t like the lightening or the thunder. The dog hid under the bed because
the thunder was very loud!
In the second week the weather got even better. It stopped raining and the sun came out. It was still quite windy on the
beach, but that was OK. My brother almost got sunburnt on his back because he fell asleep, but luckily it wasn’t too bad
though. One day we flew our kites from the top of the hill. We bought them at a local shop. That was great fun, but the wind
broke mom’s kite. She was a bit cross, but luckily we had lots of other kites.
We came home yesterday on the boat. It was very wet and not very nice at all. My dad said that next year we could go to
Iceland for our holiday. He likes Iceland a lot and so does my mom. I don’t think I want to go there because I’m sure it would
be freezing and I prefer sunny holidays. I would like to go to Spain. I have never been there but I have heard that Spain is
wonderful in summer.
